Electricity generation from biogas
Kovář, Martin ; Houdková, Lucie (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is an analysis and description of a combined production of thermal and electrical energy from biogas. Biogas belongs to the category of renewable energy. The first part is devoted to the biogas production. There are also described its properties and its comparison with other alternative fuels. The second part describes the principles of available cogeneration systems and their parameters. Design and analysis of a cogeneration system for a given biogas plan. Evaluation the economic aspect of cogeneration.
Control of gas microturbine equipped with waste heat recovery system
Kijanica, Michael ; Konečná, Eva (referee) ; Máša, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with control of the cogeneration system which utilizes waste heat from gas microturbine. This complex cogeneration system was created in Laboratory of Energy Intensive Processes NETME Centre and its main purpose is the research in utilization of high temperature flue gas from Capstone C30 microturbine for drying laundry. In case of implementation of similar cogeneration system in industrial or commercial laundries, it is necessary to design automatic control of such system to make laundry - operations easier, minimizing energy waste and maximizing safety.
Optimization of cogeneration system
Stacha, Radek ; Turek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
Master thesis is focused on optimization of cogeneration system for purpose of rating optimization methods and evaluating properties of these methods. For each method there is description together with block schemes. First part of thesis is devoted to description of methods and their comparison. Second part consists of development of hybrid algorithm, which is used to optimize cogeneration systém model. Each algorithm compared is together with hybrid algorithms included in annexes.
